About Keystone Microschools

1. What is Keystone Microschools?

Keystone Microschools is a global virtual school that combines world-class online education with personalized mentorship, experiential learning, international collaboration, and flexible learning pathways. We believe every child deserves an education built around their unique strengths, aspirations, and pace of learning.

2. What makes Keystone different from other online schools?

Unlike many online schools that simply deliver lessons over the internet, Keystone offers a complete educational ecosystem. Students benefit from live lessons, dedicated mentors, project-based learning, leadership development, experiential learning, international camps, and a vibrant global community.

3. Is Keystone a full-time school?

Yes. Keystone provides a complete school experience with structured academic programmes, assessments, student support services, extracurricular activities, clubs, mentorship, and university preparation.

4. Is Keystone accredited?

Our programmes are built around internationally recognised curricula and qualifications accepted by universities and employers around the world, subject to the requirements of the relevant examination and accrediting bodies.

5. Which curricula do you offer?

Keystone offers five internationally respected learning pathways: International Baccalaureate (IB), Cambridge International, Singapore Curriculum, Accelerated Christian Education (ACE), and Kenyan Competency-Based Education (CBE). This allows families to choose the pathway that best suits their child's ambitions and learning style.

6. Are lessons taught live?

Yes. Students attend live online lessons led by qualified teachers. Lessons are interactive, allowing students to ask questions, collaborate with classmates, and receive immediate feedback.

7. Can students learn at their own pace?

Absolutely. While live lessons follow a timetable, independent learning is flexible. Students can move faster in subjects where they excel or receive additional support where needed, provided they meet assessment deadlines.

8. How much screen time should I expect?

We believe in balanced learning. Younger learners spend much of their day reading, creating, experimenting, writing, and completing practical activities away from the computer. Older students naturally spend more time online as coursework becomes more advanced.
